Too big hole
The distance between the ends is too large. As a result, the Velcro does not fit neatly.
Overlap
The ends overlap each other. This belt was purchased too large. Velcro will also hang loose at the back.
The perfect size
You want a small gap between the ends as shown. This provides the best support and ensures that the Velcro fits neatly.
